SSG Glenn W. Mathis

SSG Glenn W. Mathis

We purchased this brick to honor our father and family. SSG Glenn W. Mathis, our father, taught us to be proud of our military heritage. We saw the phrase “Army Brats” as a badge of honor. He retired in Killeen Texas where he settled to get us through school. He served in Korea and Vietnam and as a family we served with him. The Army was our life and is our Heritage and after he passed away in 2015 we couldn’t think of a better way to honor him. He is buried in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery and his headstone says “Proud Father, Proud Veteran” Glenn R. Mathis, James W. Mathis, Evelyn Mathis Switzer, Susan A. Mathis.
