The Army Historical Foundation (AHF) is hosting a joint program with the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) to benefit the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC). This program will provide participants with an understanding of historical and contemporary examples of Army leadership that they will be able to apply to their professional careers.

Scott will discuss the heroic actions of Battery A, 4th U.S. Artillery on Day 3 of the Battle of Gettysburg. Both First Lieutenant Alonzo Cushing and First Sergeant Frederick Fuger earned the Medal of Honor for inflicting significant casualties on the enemy and halting Pickett’s Division on the western slope of Cemetery Ridge.
