COL Herbert Kenigsberg

COL Herbert Kenigsberg, USA-Ret.   Honored by his wife and his sons.

Our family was stationed at Fort Belvoir from June 1983 through July 1986, when my husband, Colonel Herbert S. Kenigsberg, a career Army officer, was DENTAC Commander. We lived at 33 Mason Drive (the quarters numbering has since changed) and our children attended Barden Middle School (Spencer) and Markham Elementary School (both Spencer and Matthew) on post. Our remembrances of our tour at Fort Belvoir are especially happy. We are still in touch with a number of friends we met there. My husband died recently (May 19, 2014), and the boys and I thought a commemorative brick was a fitting way to pay tribute to him and to our special memories.
