Fort Belvoir, VA (November 21, 2025) —The Army Historical Foundation proudly announces Bob Eisiminger, West Point Class of 1988, and Special Assistant to the Director of Athletics at the United States Military Academy, as the newest member of its Board of Directors. A lifelong supporter of Soldiers and a devoted member of the West Point community, Mr. Eisiminger brings decades of leadership experience to the Foundation as an Army officer and successful entrepreneur and business executive.

“In every stage of his life, from his Army service to his accomplished career in business to his continued commitment to West Point, Bob Eisiminger has demonstrated integrity, vision, and a deep passion for supporting Soldiers and their families,” said retired Brig. Burt Thompson, president of The Army Historical Foundation. “We are grateful to have his unmatched energy and executive experience as The Army Historical Foundation continues our march forward and opens a new chapter in honoring and preserving the history of the American Soldier.”
Mr. Eisiminger has shown extraordinary support of The Army Historical Foundation, which leads the campaign for the National Museum of the United States Army. He advises the Foundation’s development committee and has been recognized at the 5-Star level of its Circles of Distinction for donors who have contributed more than $1 million.
Mr. Eisiminger’s Army service began when he enlisted in the Army Reserve while in high school.
After graduating from West Point, he was commissioned as an Air Defense Artillery Officer and served as a Tactical Control Officer and Platoon Leader in HAWK surface-to-air defense units in Germany. He later served as a Public Affairs Officer at Fort Bliss, Texas and left service as a Captain.
Following his time on active duty, Mr. Eisiminger built a distinguished business career. He co-founded the IT company, Knight Point Systems (KPS). As CEO, Mr. Eisiminger led KPS through a period of tremendous growth before overseeing its successful sale. Earlier in his career, Mr. Eisiminger excelled in sales leadership roles at a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company, earning top performance accolades.
Mr. Eisiminger’s commitment to supporting veterans and military families runs deep. A descendant of a military lineage dating back to the Revolutionary War, Mr. Eisiminger is an active member of military and veteran organizations. He served as Co-Chair of the Veterans and Military Business Council for the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and later as a Director on the Chamber’s Board. In 2023, he was appointed by the Governor to the Virginia Board of Veteran Services.
Mr. Eisiminger joins the Foundation’s board of directors as the Foundation helps lead the nation in honoring the role that the American Soldier has played in the nation’s first 250 years.
