Register now to donate blood using the sponsor code “NMUSA” 

The National Museum of the United States Army is hosting an Armed Services Blood Drive on
Friday, February 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

The Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP) is the official blood program for the U.S. military and is charged with the mission to provide quality and safe blood products to military healthcare operations worldwide.  Blood donated to the ASBP directly supports ill or injured service members, their families, retirees and veterans. 

According to ASBP, there is a critical nationwide blood shortage and they encourage everyone to consider donating blood. The February 18 blood drive will specifically support needs at the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and U.S. Central Command combat support. One blood donation has the potential to save three lives. 

ASBP will have protective COVID health and safety measures in place and donors should allow approximately one hour from entry to the “juice and cookies” exit.
