The Army Historical Foundation’s The Soldier Experience Series is designed as a prelude to the National Museum of the United States Army and is made possible by The Association of the United States Army. The Series showcases the themes of the museum; featuring an emphasis on first person soldiers stories, interactive and state-of-the-art technologies, art from the more than 16,000 pieces in the Army Art Collection and an emphasis on education.

Past exhbits in The Soldier Experience Series included African-Americans in World War I and Women in the Army. The next exhibit scheduled to open on May 24, 2016 will feature Asian-American and Pacific-Islander Americans.
