In the foreground is a group of colonial militia men dressed in in a variety of clothes - either blue coats, brown coats, or light brown waist coats. The men are hidden behind a wall made of large stones and several are firing muzzle loading firearms. Just beyond the stone wall is a column of British soldiers marching in a perfect line led by officers all wearing bright red coats. Beyond the British is a small house and woods.
