Grassroots Spotlight

Museum opening is just around the corner!

We still need your help in sharing information about the National Museum of the United States Army in your community. Charles Hoffman is one of our amazing grassroots volunteers. He has been working hard to tell his community of Oviedo, Fla., about the Museum.

Charles learned about the grassroots program through a mailing sent by the Army Historical Foundation (AHF). A member of the Florida Army National Guard, he is most excited to visit the Museum with his father who served in the Army. His mother, sister and brother-in-law also served in the Army.

When asked what is the most rewarding part of being a grassroots volunteer, he explained, “I get to educate fellow veterans about this great project. Half the veterans I meet have yet to hear about the Museum.”

In reflecting on his work promoting the Museum he remarked, “I have shared my knowledge of the project with my fellow veterans. I am very passionate about the Museum and I hope my enthusiasm spreads throughout the area.”
