Staff Ride of the Petersburg Campaign
April 18 – 19
The Army Historical Foundation will be conducting an overnight staff ride of the Petersburg Campaign which occurred from June 1864-April 1865. This staff ride will include stops at City Point, the Crater, Fort Stedman, Pamplin Park and the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier, and Five Forks.
The cost for this overnight trip is $295 for single occupancy, $245 for double occupancy, and includes round trip charter bus transportation, hotel accommodations, box lunch for the first day, dinner, lunch on the second day, park admission, maps/handouts, beverages, and snacks.
This trip will be led by LTC Gus Person, NYARNG-Ret., the former post historian of Fort Belvoir, Virginia, who has conducted dozens of staff rides, including AHF’s Overland Campaign staff ride in April 2014.
